Self-editing tips to strengthen your story with Jessica Booth

Welcome Jessica Booth to The TufFish Show, a place to help writers and aspiring authors get out of their own way to leave a legacy by telling the stories they want to share through writing their own books and confidently sharing them with others. The writing process can be tough and the business side can feel scary, but TufFish makes both feel smoother and achievable.

This fabulous conversation with Jessica shows that disrupting the market to create books that bring in multiple elements you love will enhance your setting, character development, and plot. Leveraging her experience with professional writing and editing, Jessica shares so much wisdom with self-editing and tips for researching, so that you strengthen your story and have a better draft to give your editor, and ultimately a wonderful book for your readers.

Jessica Booth earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and professional writing before making a career in journalism and as a magazine editor-in-chief. Jessica has always dreamt of writing a book, and her love for novels spurred her into becoming an avid bookstagrammer. She grew up in North Louisiana, but now resides in Southwestern Ohio with her husband, pack of rowdy children, and a couple of hounds. They love to spend their time visiting independent bookstores, or outside watching the kids dig up worms and transforming piles of sticks into castles.
